I launched Richardson Counseling in 2023 and am passionate about helping my clients discover clarity, hope and healing in their lives. I see therapy as a collaborative experience and a partnership. Above all, I want my clients to feel understood and accepted. I believe that by gaining insight and working through feelings of shame and judgment, we are able to be the best version of ourselves. There are skills and therapeutical tools that I share with my clients that help with that process, however I believe therapy is most effective when it’s built on trust and mutual respect.
I offer telehealth and in person appointments at my office in Towson, MD for adolescents and adults, ages 14 and up. I treat a range of problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and stress. Therapy should never be "one size fits all", so I use an eclectic approach based on the individual's needs, drawing from my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. I work with each individual client to understand their goals and form a treatment plan that is unique to their needs, in order to begin working towards healing.
